BURLINGTON – Melissa Hall, a first grade teacher at Hardwick Elementary School, was recently honored as a 2025 UVM Outstanding Educator at the awards ceremony on October 27, at the University of Vermont’s Dudley H. Davis Center.
Each year, UVM, in coordination with the Agency of Education, celebrates outstanding teachers across the state. Each supervisory union or supervisory district is eligible to nominate up to two outstanding teachers.
Guest event speakers this year included UVM President Marlene Tromp, Deputy Secretary of Education Jill Briggs Campbell, and the current State Teacher of the Year, Caitlin MacLeod-Bluver.
“Melissa exemplifies the qualities and high standards that we aspire to in education, in both academics and social emotional learning. This school and community are lucky to have her with us, and we wish her much continued success,” commented Bill Deiss, Hardwick Elementary School principal.
