JOHNSON – KCP Presents and Catamount Arts announce neo-blues powerhouse Amythyst Kiah, at Vermont State University-Johnson’s Dibden Center for the Arts, September 30, at 7 p.m. Rolling Stone calls Amythyst Kiah “one of Americana’s great up-and-coming secrets,” for her musical gifts.

Although she honed her musicality through her studies in East Tennessee State University’s Bluegrass, Old Time and Country Music program, Kiah expands on the artistry she’s displayed as a member of Our Native Daughters, an all-women-of-color supergroup including Rhiannon Giddens, Allison Russell, and Leyla McCalla.

Kiah’s song “Black Myself,” earned a Grammy nomination for Best American Roots Song and won Song of the Year at the Folk Alliance International Awards.
