MORRISVILLE – Rusty DeWees, local storyteller/musician/actor, will bring his Tiny

Town Hall to Morrisville on November 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This tour was born from an idea DeWees had incorporating his material based in Vermont and creating connectivity with audiences.

“My Tiny Town Hall show comes from the idea that a small hall in a small town is filled with people who know each other,” says DeWees. “I’m the show, that’s valuable, but locals chatting before, during intermission, and after the show to catch up has extremely long-lasting value with a ‘back-in-the-day’ show experience. I love it.”

Raised in Vermont since the age of 7, DeWees’ career spans from working with Robert Ringer’s Repertory Theater in Burlington to studying, acting, and working in New York, honing his storytelling skills with the heart of Vermont always present in his work. “It’s cliché to say my logger stories and jokes just came out of me when I was driving back-and-forth from New York City to Vermont, but it’s true,” continues DeWees. “Both my performance material and books highlight an old Americana way of life; my show being Vermont specific. I write and perform in deference to Vermonters.”

A short intermission will include pie for sale by the slice or whole to take home, coffee, and cash bar available. River Arts is located on 74 Pleasant Street. Parking is in the municipal lot across the street. Tickets can be purchased at riverartsvt.org ahead of time or in person.
