The gift shop at River Arts in Morrisville has reopened after the pandemic.

MORRISVILLE – After a year on hiatus, the gift shop at River Arts has re-opened with fresh representation of local talent. The gift shop’s grand reopening coincides with Morrisville’s Festival of Lights and the Wolcott Ballet’s performance of “The Grinch” on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“The pandemic put a damper on our gift shop. We didn’t have the staff or foot traffic to keep it open, but we’ve come back stronger than ever,” said shop curator, Jen Keppel. “With statement necklaces by Chiara No, one-of-a-kind greeting cards by Evie Mason and beautiful pottery by Carla Magbie, there is something for everyone. We are so proud to carry the creations of artists who teach classes at River Arts. We have such amazing, local talent.”

The River Arts Gift Shop started out six years ago as a pop-up and quickly became a destination for those looking for an affordable gift while supporting local artists in the community. Gifts range in pricing from $10 to $100, and there are even some items priced “by donation.” The shop is located at 74 Pleasant St. Shop hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
