Bernardo, Chorney perform Feb. 1

ADAMANT – Vocalist Miriam Bernardo and multi-instrumentalist and composer Michael Chorney will perform at the Adamant Community Club, Sunday, Feb. 1, 3 p.m., as part of the Winter Sunday series.

Bernardo, originally from Athens in Windham County, has provided vocals to local projects, including the all-women ensemble Steady Betty, salsa combo Afinque, High Summer and Michael Chorney’s Sun Ra tribute, Magic City. The collaboration between Bernardo and Chorney stretches back to their days as members of the original “Hadestown” ensemble. Their program will feature works by Paul Bowles, Sun Ra, Llasa de Sela and Chorney. Admission is free. The series will continue each Sunday through March 1. For information, call 802-454-7103.
