On November 5, at approximately 12:07 a.m., Troopers from the Berlin Barracks conducted a traffic stop after observing a motor vehicle infraction. Troopers made contact with the operator who identified himself as Matthew Moulton, of Hardwick. Moulton showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody before being transported to the Barre City Police Department for processing. He was released on a citation for DUI and is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division on November 16, at 8:30 a.m.
On November 5, at approximately 9:47 p.m., a trooper with the Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 91 south-bound in the town of Derby for a speeding violation. The operator was identified as Tristan Dunbar, of Cabot. Dunbar displayed indicators of impairment and after a subsequent investigation, was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Dunbar was transported to the Vermont State Police – Derby Barracks for processing and was later released with a citation. She has a court date November 22, at 10 a.m.
