On November 12, Hardwick Police was informed that a vehicle that police were looking for, a silver Toyota 4Runner, was in a tent behind New England Auto Glass. Colin Mercier, of Hardwick, was questioned about the vehicle and he provided false information to police. Mercier was issued a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Caledonia Criminal Division on January 9 at 8:30 a.m.
On November 13, Hardwick Police received a report that a black Ford truck had been stolen from Dutton Road. The next day the vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner. The suspect that Hardwick Police believes stole the truck was killed sometime later in a motor vehicle crash.
On December 15, Officer Force of Hardwick Police Department responded to the residence at 3148 Vt. Rte. 16 for the report of a 911 hang-up. Sheara Bryant, of Cabot, was arrested for Violating Conditions of Release and Resisting Arrest. She was transported to the Hardwick Police Department for processing. She was released on a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on February 13 at 8:30 a.m.
On December 15, Officer Force of Hardwick Police Department responded to the residence at 3148 Vt. Rte. 16 for the report of a 911 hang-up. Alain Fradette, of East Hardwick, admitted to operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device. He was served a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on February 13 at 8:30 a.m.
On December 17 Officer Force of the Hardwick Police Department located a stolen vehicle reported by the Vermont State Police. The operator, Tyler Clark, of Hardwick, was located and arrested for Operation Without Owners Consent and DUI Refusal. He was transported to the Hardwick Police Department for processing. He was detoxed at Northeast Regional Correction Complex. Clark was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on January 9 at 8:30 a.m. for the charge of DUI Refusal and a citation to appear in Washington Superior Court on February 16 at 8:30 a.m. for the charge of Operation Without Owners Consent.
