On August 13, at 10:28 a.m., Bryant Austin reported his 9mm handgun stolen from his residence. He is not sure when it was taken. Anyone with information can call Hardwick Police Department.

On August 21, at 12:49 p.m., Police were dispatched to a two-car accident with unknown injuries. Upon arrival, Police saw the two vehicles in the roadway. The vehicle that Dale Vantour, of Greensboro Bend was operating, a 2015 GMC Sierra, was coming off East Main Street to go left onto Main Street and didn’t see the other car, a 2017 KIA Sorento, operated by Allison Gulka, of Walden, coming down Stannard Mountain Road going straight onto Main Street. Vantour’s vehicle hit Gulka’s vehicle in the driver’s side doors. Gulka had three children in the vehicle with her. Only minor injuries reported and EMS was not needed. Vantour failed to yield the right of way.
