On December 6, at approximately 3:42 p.m., Hardwick Police, Fire Department and Rescue Squad responded to a two-vehicle crash with unknown injuries or hazards, in front of 404 Wolcott St. The investigation determined Erica Gayle, of Morrisville, was operating a 2023 Ford F150. Gayle was pulling out of the Hardwick House of Pizza parking lot onto Wolcott St. Hunter Duprey, of Hardwick, was operating a 2010 Nissan Versa westbound on Wolcott St. Gayle did not see Duprey’s vehicle and pulled out in front of him. Duprey’s vehicle collided with the passenger side of Gayle’s vehicle. Gayle was found at fault for the crash; however, no tickets were issued. There were no reported injuries.
On December 12, at approximately 7:47 a.m., Hardwick Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with no injuries or hazards at the intersection of Route 14 N and 15 W by the Hardwick Quick Stop. The investigation determined Amy Rosenthal, of Hardwick, was operating a 2022 Subaru Forester. Rosenthal was pulling off Rte. 14 N onto Rte. 15. Luke Byrnes of Cabot was operating a 2021 Toyota Tacoma westbound on Rte. 15. Rosenthal did not see Byrnes’ vehicle and pulled out in front of him. Byrnes’ vehicle collided with the driver’s side of Rosenthal’s vehicle. Rosenthal was found at fault for the crash, however no tickets were issued. There were no reported injuries.
On October 23, the Hardwick Police Department took a larceny report of jewelry at 730 Vt. Rte. 15 W. On November 28 Cassandra Rich was arrested for grand larceny. She was released on a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court on January 8.
